Chifa: Chinese Culture in Peru was developed in the coastal cities of Lima and Chepén (La Libertad Region) and the Amazonian city of Iquitos. It portrays how the descendants of Chinese immigrants and recent Chinese newcomers have settled in distinct parts of Peru, including their overall influence in Peruvian society. Although the focal point of this project resided in chifas and culinary artistry, it also showed other aspects of Chinese culture in Peru, such as religious rites and temples, traditional medicine, commercial activities, iconography, and architecture.
